Celtic Sheet Music - Waifs and Strays

Great band selections -- "Emerald Rose" is another good one.

Chris Williams

good post. i've seen DKM & FM. Looking forward to FM coming around the Northeast in 2012. Saw the Pogues in 2009. Shane Magowan was a complete disappointment. About 3 of the songs he could not stand and had to sit down, left the stage several times. IMO, He should not be on stage. For that matter, i'm quite shocked that he is still alive at this point in the career.

Not familiar with the Dreadnoughts...will have to check them out

If you would like to check out some other Irish/Scots themed bands, i would recommend a couple. Both happen to be from Canada

1) Enter the Haggis. Good tune is 'Lanigan's Ball (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gOA93bCBUwI&feature=related).

2)Great Big Sea out of Newfoundland. They are big on sea shanties with the Gaelic twist. They did comp album with a bunch of Canadian Celtic Artists that I highly recommend. Called "Fire In the Kitchen". The Chieftains are backing musicians for all the songs. They back GBS on "Lukey" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DOw3w-00Jqw
